Dr. John I. Tifford has been practicing dentistry in Charles County since 1973. His office has been at the present location since October 1984.

Dr. Tifford pursued his undergraduate studies at UCLA. He received his DDS from Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. He also practiced dentistry in the Dependent Clinic at Ft. Mead. Dr. Tifford served in the Vietnam conflict in the 68th medivac hospital in 1971 and in the 38th dental detachment in 1972.

Dr. Tifford is a general dentist with post graduate studies in occlusion and tooth morphology from Georgetown, fixed prosthestics from Boston, occlusion and TMJ & Porcelain from the Pankey Institute, office management & design from Pride Institute and fixed prosthetics from Gordon Christensen. He was trained at Harvard in implant dentistry.
