Dentist Dr. John I. Tifford, Waldorf MD, practices a full scope of general  dentistry with expertise ranging from oral surgery procedures, endodontic therapy (root canals), periodontal therapy (gum disease), complete orthodontic therapy, custom dentures (removable prosthetic).  Dr. Tifford can now correct a wide variety of so-called permanent cosmetic dental problems, and can literally re-design your smile.

Dr. Tifford uses state of the art diagnostic procedures: digital x rays, photography, diagnostic cast, electronic pulp testing, and software driven analysis.

Most dental treatment is performed using high powered surgical microscopes, allowing for  more procise results. Argon laser is used to cure resin restorations and cements. Diode lasers are used for soft tissue surgery, in some situations electro-surgery is needed.  In endodontic surgery and implant surgery electric hand pieces are used  to minimize trauma to treated area.

Treatment shall commence once financial arrangements have been made. Dr. Tifford accepts many PPO insurance plans. Our insurance co-ordinator  shall research your insurance and can answer any questions you might have.  Call us at 301-843-1200.
